Fancy yourself as a bit of a funny bugger? Then the 2012 Class Clowns Competition could be your ticket to tickling ribs.

Bendigo teenagers in Years 9 12, or between the ages of 14 and 18, who like to be the centre of attention, can enter the nation-wide search for Australia’s funniest teenager (or teenagers), either as a solo act or in a group of up to three.

All you need is your own original material for five minutes of stand up, sketch, musical parody or something a bit crazy.

Your act will be honed in a workshop by a professional comedian, then presented in a live public performance.

Class Clowns will hit Bendigo on Thursday, March 1 at The Capital theatre, with the 2012 Class Clowns National Grand Final on Friday, April 20 during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The winner of the Class Clown crown takes home $1000 and $1000 for their school.

It’s free to register at www.classclowns.com.au
