The Spicks and Specks team said goodbye.

The Spicks and Specks team announced that their TV show would end last year. However their final goodbye was said this year, when their national Spicks and Speck-Tacular stage show returned to their hometown of Melbourne.

The Plenary (Melbourne Convention Centre) played host to the shows, which were packed with singing, dancing and laughter until the very end.

Of course there was a cross-dressing moment – to Beyoncé’s Single Ladies – which was Myf’s song of choice for the opening number. If you were a fan of the series you would remember Adam dressing up as Frank-N-Furter (Rocky Horror) and Alan dressing up as Amy Winehouse.

The show wasn’t like being in the audience for a taping of a show, it was more audience focused, as teams for the night were made up purely from audience members, who correctly answered questions from Adam, Alan or Myf. This was "what the fans wanted". Let’s face it, lining up celebrity guests for each night and paying them would have been the harder option.

The teams started off as eight – four on either side. With each round people were eliminated until one person, the winner, was left remaining.

I should also mention the house band for the evening The Spectres who did an admirable and entertaining job.

It was an enjoyable night for both those in and from the audience.

Myf, Adam and Alan were great sports and their usual fun, bubbly characters didn’t fade a bit.
