FORMER AFL coach David Parkin, a passionate supporter of prostate cancer fundraising, has been announced as another special guest for Bendigo’s Bloke’s Biggest Lunch on November 16.

Parkin will join Mark ‘Jacko’ Jackson and ex Carlton star Peter Bosustow at the lunch.

They will talk alongside local identity Chris Tuohey, local urologist Janelle Brennan and consultant radiation oncologist Wes Miles who will raise awareness of the reason for the event, prostate cancer research.

Some new auction items have come in, including an impressive furniture package from Simon Wilson Furniture.

It includes a painting, two lamp tables and coffee table, all valued at $3500.

Bendigo Gold has also jumped on board, donating a framed  and signed Essendon jumper featuring autographs from Brownlow medallists James Hird and Jobe Watson.

Ellis Wines have also donated some vouchers, and Reilly Electrical have donated electrical goods.

The Bendigo Lions Club will be providing a barbecue at the Civic Gardens starting at noon, and extra catering will be provided by Café Essence.

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia chief executive officer Anthony Lowe will also be attending from Sydney.

Organisers are still taking donations for auction or raffle items and there are still tickets available.
