Two Bendigo weavers from the Karen community are among the winners at this year's Scarf Festival.
Paw Kyi and Htoo Gay Ku were in Geelong on the weekend, to attend the launch of the 2012 Scarf Festival.
Paw Kyi was highly commended in the Best Woven Scarf award, while Htoo Gay Ku took out the prize for Best Scarf by a secondary student.
Both women came to Bendigo as refugees, and have been weaving with the support of the Bendigo Friends and Mentors weaving and sewing project, led by Judy Richards.
The Scarf Festival is presented by the National Wool Museum in Geelong in conjunction with Craft Victoria.
