Bank gets Braves

THE Bendigo Bank was this morning announced as the naming right sponsor for the Bendigo Braves for the next three years.

The deal also includes the Braves' junior squads, from Under 12 to Under 20 level. 

Bendigo Bank regional manager Wayner Tobin said the bank is extremely pleased to be on board with the newly named Bendigo Bank Braves. 

"We are very pleased to announce that the Bendigo Bank will be the Braves' be naming rights sponsor for the next three years.

"The Braves represent Bendigo with distinction and the junior squads are the future. This is a great fit for the Bendigo Bank."

Bendigo Basketball Association president Mark Lennox said he is delighted that the bank has chosen to support basketball. at both junior and senior levels. 

"Bendigo Bank's sponsorship will underpin the standard of the whole basketball program for years to come," he said.

Meanwhile, Braves coach Ben Harvey has said he is likely to stay on next season. 

Harvey had a tough year off the court in 2012, but said he still has the desire to coach. 

"I still want to coach, but after the season I just wanted to rest and weigh up my options," he said. 

"I've been able to gather my thoughts and have some time to think about my options, and I will make a decision next week and let the board know."
